In 2015 Brick and Ivy set out to make wooden planter boxes in a small wood shop in upstate NY. We started experimenting with materials and properties and quickly worked out the kinks. The design is sure to please. The wood starts out as raw lumber and is milled into box pieces. We then assemble the box using both glue and nails for longevity. Once the box is together it is hand-sanded and finished with a durable satin lacquer finish. It really is a piece of art. But it doesn’t stop there. We fill the box with the right soil mix and plant your choice of succulents, cactus, or low-maintenance houseplants. It’s carefully packed and shipped to your door. Since our launch, people have been amazed by the craftsmanship and quality of these pieces. We know you’ll be impressed too.

INSTALLATIONS

We teamed up with TriBeCa’s Laughing Man Coffee shop to provide outdoor seating for their Duane street location. Made out of Cedar for it’s weatherproofing qualities, we built them a series of benches and planters that can be easily broken down for winter storage and easily put together for spring and summer. With no visible fasteners, this look is sleek and simple, almost ‘zen’ like. The parklet is seated on high-quality astro-turf to create a true park feel. CENTERPIECES

Whether it’s a wedding or an event, our planters make stunning centerpieces. Sizes and materials are completely customizable to match your theme, and we can either supply the wooden boxes or be your turnkey floral solution. Pictured here is a shot from a rustic barn wedding in the Hudson Valley. They chose the Ashed Pine planter and handed them out at the end to their guests as wedding favors.
